The LG G6, double camera and screen without limits

The South Korean company launches its new smartphone in Spain for 749 euros, a terminal that seeks to compete in the high-end betting on a higher screen ratio, water and dust resistance and photographs with wide-angle lens

   Complicated times to gain a foothold in the world of high-end smartphones in Spain. Although until recently it was Samsung and Apple who split the board virtually alone, now new players ask turn in a sector in which the crisis has not passed so much bill as the mid-range.

Today has been the turn of LG, which although it had already shown the world its new G6 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this month, has made the official presentation of its new terminal in Spain this Wednesday at an event in the Real Theater of Madrid of the hand of the singer Loquillo.

   And finally it has revealed prices and availability: the new LG G6 will cost 749 euros and will be in stores from April 13, although it can be booked from next March 28. It is a risky price, taking into account that its main competitor, Samsung, will present the expected S8 on March 29 with a price that according to all the rumors will be around 799 euros. The Chinese firm Huawei steps on the heels with its new new P10 and P10 Plus presented at the MWC, which has just gone on sale in Spain for 649 euros.

Yes, regarding specifications, LG makes a clear commitment to the high-end, with a screen that occupies virtually the entire terminal (its slogan 'Full screen' proves it). The Asian company claims to have in its G6 the largest possible screen in the smallest body (panel of 5.7 inches in a terminal of 5.2). The FullVision QHD + screen (resolution of 2,880 x 1440 pixels) reaches an 18: 9 format, which gives an almost cinematic immersion to the user, said David Díaz, Product Manager at LG.

As for the camera, one of the aspects that currently interest the Spanish, LG is committed to a double rear camera of 13 megapixels with a lens of 125 degrees, wide angle, which achieves photographs with one of the largest fields of vision of the market, commented Diaz. A highlight is that its front camera, 5 MP, also incorporates wide angle (100 º) to make selfies without supplements.

Resistance to water and dust was another of the most acclaimed aspects during its presentation at the MWC. The new LG smartphone responds to the IP68 standard, which helps you survive 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes without any problem. The Product Manager of LG Spain has insisted during the presentation in Madrid that the new terminal has an important resistance, because due to its metallic body reinforced with Gorila Glass glass and its rounded tips of the body and the screen guarantees that it survives falls unforeseen

The most technical features are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a 3,300 mAh battery with fast charge, Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, size 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm and a weight of 163 grams. The new LG smartphone will go on sale on April 13 in three colors: black, silver and white.
